At Sophia - Pregnancy Loss Support, the aim is to educate others about the heartbreak of losing our precious children. Breaking the silence surrounding the death of a baby. By raising the profile of this taboo subject, Sophia's hopes to help people understand the difficulty to deal with the loss of a baby.
Charlotte West, the Head of HR & Finance, will be participating in her first 10K race in Leicester on October 1st, 2023.
Charlotte has said "Running 10K is the biggest fitness challenges I have faced. At the beginning of the year, I couldn’t even run for a minute. I would like to raise money and dedicate this run to a very special friend of mine Nicky Rygielski. Nicky is one of the founders of Sophia’s pregnancy loss support, which is a charity which aims to support anybody who has experienced the tragic loss of a baby through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, TFMR, still birth and neonatal death.
Nicky’s son Ryan was still born in 2011, since then Nicky has raised money for a cold cot and other hospital equipment for other families to use to spend precious time with their children. I hope that any money raised will help the charity to continue raising awareness and supporting families through the heartbreak of losing a child."
